  Smoking Cessation

Acupuncture is successful with smoking cessation
and has turned a growing number of cigarette
smokers into permanent ex-smokers.

Acupuncture take all of your symptoms into account and aim at balancing the energy within the body to optimize health.

Some smokers have tried using the nicotine patch to stop smoking, they are often unsuccessful. The reason is that the patch puts nicotine back into your body. Acupuncture detoxifies the body.

It takes nicotine out of your body while allowing your natural endorphins to take over the comfort level.Endorphins are the body's natural opiates and they are 5,000 to 10,000 stronger than morphine for the relief of stress. Acupuncture stimulates endorphins which come from the central nervous system.

The acupuncture needles are hair-thin which are superficially inserted into various points in the ears and body to assist with smoking cessation. In between treatments, small pellets are often taped to the acupuncture points on the ear. When a cigarette craving hits, gently pressing on the pellets stimulates the acupuncture points to calm the mind and eliminate the craving.

There’s another benefit to acupuncture for quitting smoking. After the acupuncture, cigarettes actually taste foul. Cigarettes taste like a wet ashtray smells, and you know how disgusting that is. After your acupuncture, even if you do try and have a cigarette, the taste will have you spitting until your mouth is dry and searching for mints to remove that nasty burnt taste.

Using acupuncture to quit smoking yields enormous benefits. Aside from addressing the key problems that can cause you to resume the habit, acupuncture can help restore your body and its systems to a healthy balance.

Typical treatments last from 30 to 60 minutes, with the patient being treated one or two times a week. The length, number and frequency of treatments will vary. Some symptoms are relieved after the first treatment, while more severe or chronic ailments often require multiple treatments.

The acupuncture treatments focus on:
  • Treat jitters, cravings, irritability and restlessn
  • Relieve all symptoms when people quit
  • Aid in relaxation and detoxification
  • Resume the habit
  • Restore your body to a healthy balance...
